Covid 1st and 2nd Vaccines

Second Vaccine

Appointments for second Covid Vaccinations at the NICS GP vaccine sites, including the site will be released as the second dose vaccine delivery schedules come out.  All second doses will be scheduled between 10 and 12 weeks after the first dose was given.

You will be contacted 1-2 weeks before via text message and invited to book via the link.  If you do not have a mobile phone registered on your notes an administrator will phone you to book the appointment.

Please ensure your contact details are correct and if we hold a mobile number for you, that is correct, and, you are able to receive text messages.

If you have received a text message but are unable to use the link,
or you are less than two weeks away from your 12-week deadline
please contact us, ideally via the website.

Please do not contact us if you are not within 2 weeks of your 12-week deadline.

If you had your first covid vaccination at an NHS England site such as Epsom or a pharmacy, please contact them directly about your second dose as the practice cannot access their system and you must return to the original provider for your second vaccination.

The practice can only help with bookings at the four NICS GP Vaccine sites at:

McLaren Woking
Chertsey Hall, Chertsey
H&M Walton
Hythe, Staines.

First Invites Information

Appointments Covid Vaccinations at the NICS GP vaccine sites are currently being released in phases for those in Group 6 (those classified as having underlying medical conditions by NHS England and aged 16-65). This group is a large group so please be patient as appointment invitations can only be sent when vaccine deliveries are confirmed, often only a few days in advance.  Those over age 65 years should have already received an invitation.

You will be contacted via text message to book, via a link, for the GP Vaccine sites. The link will enable you to book into any of the 5 sites in North West Surrey – McLaren Woking, Chertsey Hall Chertsey, Hythe Centre Staines, H&M building Walton and from 15th March St Peter’s Hospital Chertsey.

NHS England will also write to these groups with instructions on how to book into their sites, such as Epsom and some of the local pharmacies. The practice is not involved in the booking of these sites.

Please ensure all your contact details are correct and if we hold a mobile number for you, that it is correct, and you are able to receive text messages.

If you have received a text message but are unable to use the link, or you are over 65 and have not received a text message or do not have a mobile phone, please contact us, ideally via the website, and a member of practice staff will contact you to book the appointment at NICS GP Vaccine site.

Please do not contact us if you are not in the Group listed above.

Please see this link for details regarding Group 6-COVID-19 vaccination first phase priority groups – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Allocation into Group 6 has been determined by NHS England and your GP records have been coded accordingly. It is not the same as those who have an annual influenza vaccination, for example only severe asthmatics are included.

If you feel, having read the link, that you should be coded on Group 6 and have not been, please send a message via the website.  A GP cannot add you to Group 6 unless you meet the criteria set and have been omitted due to a coding error, which on correction, leads to your inclusion.
